Radio hsng is typical description. With all of
the folks here in North/South Carolina I would
start with your local club members.

I guess you have heard of Clarks Corvair Parts?

They have both new and used parts for EM and LM. Your in luck as they have a used radio housing for EM.

I have a car one in light metallic green. Note that 60-62 are different than 63-64 AND car radio housings are different than Corvair truck radio housings.

Car types have three studs on top. 60-62 have two radio knob holes about 1/2" diameter. 63-4 have one radio knob hole that about 1/2" the the other is much larger, maybe 1 1/2". The large hole is designed to accommodate the rear speaker fader control.

What radio are you going to install? I ask because there are several differences in the holes (for the knobs) that need to match the radio if stock. An aftermarket radio should not care which housing you buy, as some modification is typical.

I would probably just install a stock radio. I don't listen to the radio when I'm driving anyway.

So, buying one with a radio already in it is a plus!

The larger hole is also where Delco put the antenna trimmer on some radios. Without the big hole, even if you are not running a rear speaker fader, you will be unable to adjust the antenna trimmer (and this adjustment is very important if you want to use the AM radio).

The adapter cup that fits the large hole has two openings, one for the fader wires, the other for the antenna trimmer screwdriver.

Note, if you buy a housing with the large hole, you WILL need the adapter cup too!

Bill one of Jerry Brown probably has one, Jerry Murray may have one too. We are having our monthly meeting this Thursday evening if you want to take a ride to North Charleston.

OK, You don't listen to the radio so why do you want one? If you want "A" radio get a cheap one and put it in the glove box.

Sounds to me like he wants an "Original Looking" car.

Radios were optional, even on Monzas, so It Is original without a radio.

He will also need a 64 only radio bezel (if he wants it to match his instrument cluster/glove box door). I think if we keep it up (with all these truths) he'll probably not want a radio with housing to not listen to.

Be glad it is not for your Spyder. Those bezels seem to be very hard to find these days.

Anyone have a complete assembly (including radio) they want to sell? Fawn color preferred but not required.

Radio condition not important....I really don't care if it works. I just want to fill the gap.
