Second on change out head. I may have a stock one you can have, Eric. Let me see...Check compression, and if theres a problem, pull valve cover on that side and see if you have a slack rocker arm.

Eric, if the piston isn't damaged... just THAT head needs to replaced or fixed [ $$$ ]

I don't think the Motohead is doing any more engine work... so try Pablo Galli.

Phill Dally can get you in touch..

Get ahold of a good head, and swap it yourself.
Take your time, and ask plenty of questions.
If I can do it, ANYONE can.

Get a boroscope that can be attached to your smart phone. They are pretty cheap like $10-20. Take a look into the identified cylinder and look at the piston. You might see a light half moon impression or lots of marks and depths. You can change a piston if needed. Just take off rod protecting the bearing and have a machine should install a new piston. I had 6 new ones put on my Mouse House 110 engine. New rings and bearing one that 9ne piston based on what you see.

So update--

Did the pressure test tonight with a friend. No compression on cylinder number 2 and half as necessary on cylinder number 1. Examined the head through the spark plug holes, and pulled the valve covers. While nothing appears "dropped," the rocker arms on #1 were alternating between tight and loose when turning the engine. Over Thanksgiving gonna drop the engine and really get into it. Stay tuned.

No need to drop the engine! Just pull the head... sadly, the passenger side is the hardest with a turbo..

Only SURE way to know if any seat has dropped, is to remove head. You can get an idea that it has happened, if you rotate crank to TDC on compression of cyl. #2, and see if one or both rocker arms for that cyl. are totally loose.
Otherwise..

Since it appears that BOTH sides need attention, then you are correct to drop the engine and get it fixed properly...

The rocker arms are loose. On the Tuesday after Thanksgiving we are going to dive in. As promised, I will update you.
